App version 0.5.0 · updated 4 August 2026

Racia is an app for voice communication and messaging within a single local network. It works with a server that your organization installs and operates itself: on an office computer, a mini PC on the shop floor or on an employee’s phone.

Summary. Your conversations, messages and accounts live only on your server and on your devices — we do not receive them, either in full, selectively or in anonymized form. We have our own server, but it serves only the website and the distribution of installers and is not connected to your server.

What the app does NOT do

What data goes where

Data Where it goes Why
Login, display name, password Your organization’s server Signing in to the app. The password is stored as a hash; the original cannot be recovered from it.
Messages and attachments Your organization’s server Messages in channels and direct messages. The retention period is set by your administrator.
Voice on air Passes through the server, is not stored The server forwards the sound to listeners and does not write it to disk. A recording of conversations does not exist.
Device name and network address Your organization’s server To show the administrator who is connected and to allow disconnecting a lost phone.

Permissions requested by the app

PermissionPurpose
Microphone Transmitting voice while the air button is held. When the button is not pressed, the microphone is closed.
Notifications To show that the radio is receiving and to notify about a direct message or a mention.
Camera Scanning a QR code when connecting to a server and video in the meeting room. No shooting takes place outside these screens.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, “Nearby devices” Finding the radio server in your network. The mode in which a phone creates a network by itself when there is no Wi-Fi at all is still under development.
Location Android before version 13 does not allow searching for devices on the network without this permission. The app does not request coordinates and does not know where you are.

Protection in transit

The connection to the server uses TLS. The certificate is issued by the server itself, so on the first connection it must be confirmed once — this is described in the installation instructions.

For channels with a passphrase, the audio is additionally encrypted on the sender’s device and decrypted on the recipient’s; the server only forwards such channels and does not see the content.

Note. Encryption by passphrase currently works in the web client. In the Android app it is not yet enabled; do not rely on it in the mobile version until we state otherwise.

Browser notifications

This applies only to the web version opened in a browser — it does not apply to the Android app.

If you have allowed notifications in the browser, they are delivered through your browser’s service (Google or Mozilla, depending on the browser). The notification text is encrypted on your server with your browser’s keys, so the delivery service does not read it. It sees only the fact of delivery and the time.

The Android app does not use this service: notifications arrive over a direct connection to your server.

Checking for a new version

Every few hours the server requests a file listing versions from racia.core-stack.ru; the check can be turned off.

How to delete data

Plan requests

If you submit a request on the plans page, we receive what you entered yourself: the organization name, an email or phone number, the number of seats and a comment. The request is written to our server’s database and is not transferred anywhere. We use it only to reply to you, agree on the terms and issue an invoice. Your device’s address is not saved with the request. You can ask for the request to be deleted by writing to hello@core-stack.ru.

Children

The app is intended for work tasks and is not intended for children under 13. We deliberately do not collect children’s data.

Changes

If the policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be shown in the app on the first launch of the new version.
