Help

Updated 7 August 2026
Contact the administrator first. Racia works with a server located in your organization’s network. Accounts, channels and permissions are issued by the administrator of that server, so most questions are resolved through them.

Getting started

  1. Install the server The server is a single program for a computer. When started, it shows an address such as 192.168.1.50:7700 — this is the address of your radio.
  2. Add people In the server management panel, section “Members”. Each member is given a login and a password. There is no self-registration.
  3. Connect phones On the same Wi-Fi network, the app finds the server automatically. If the server is not found, choose “Enter manually” and specify the server address.

If something does not work

The phone does not find the server

Most often the cause is the network settings. Check in order:

Unable to sign in

The login and password are issued and changed by the administrator of your server. We cannot recover a password or create an account: we have no access to your server.

Other members cannot be heard

Other members cannot hear you

The app requests microphone access the first time you press the push-to-talk button. If access was denied, enable it again: Android Settings → Apps → Racia → Permissions → Microphone.

Reception stops when the screen is off

This should not happen: while the radio is receiving, the “Receiving” icon is shown in the notification shade, and the connection is kept with the screen off.

If reception is still interrupted, the cause is usually battery saving. Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, vivo and Samsung phones close background apps more strictly than Android itself. Find Racia in the battery settings and remove the restriction. The option is called “Don’t restrict”, “Autostart” or “Unrestricted”, depending on the phone.

No Wi-Fi

The app has a “Server on the phone” mode: one phone works as the server for all members on the same network. The fully standalone option, in which the phone creates a network by itself without a router, is under development and has not yet been tested on real devices; it should not be relied upon.

What we cannot do

This is a feature of how the product is built: the server through which your communication runs belongs to you, not to us.

We have our own server: it serves this site and the installers and is not connected to your messages and air. For details, see the privacy policy.
